Three Scientists of Bell Labs Won U.S. National Medal of Technologys 2007-08-15
Herwig Kogelnik and Jim West were both named as recipients of the 2006 U.S. National Medal of Technology. This announcement by the White House is in addition to the earlier announcement in June regarding the 2005 medal awards, which included Al Cho, adjunct vice president of Semiconductor Research at Bell Labs. The National Medal of Technology is the highest honor awarded by a U.S. President for technological innovation. This is great news and recognition of the world class innovation that continues at Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs today.
Bell Labs Day for Intern 2007-08-09
August 9th, 2007, more than 30 interns of Bell Labs Research China (BLRC) gathered in the conference room to have a meeting named ¡°Bell Labs Day for Intern¡±.
Dr. Dawei Huang, Managing Director of BLRC Won Best Paper Award of IEEE ICASSP 2007-04
The 32nd IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP) was held in April, 2007. Dr. Dawei Huang, Managing Director of Bell Labs Research China won 2006 Best Paper Award of IEEE ICASSP.
